Susan's Story

Life Hi everyone, I am looking for anyone who went to school with me. My natural hair color is brown. I attended St. Joseph's Elementary in Ottawa, between 1966-1975, then went to A.Y Jackson in Kanata, Merrivale High. I live in Saskatchewan now, and have for 2 years. I work as a Transit Driver. I write music, sing, compose and play guitar. I am currently working on a couple of novels in the romance/fiction area and have poetry published. I have no connections with my past and would love to talk to some people that I grew up with and/or went to school with. I would like to meet people that attended the same School or that grew up in Sandy Hill. Even if you picked on me back then....(giggles) I remember some of my teachers names. Mrs. Brown Grade 2. Mr. Phillips Grade 8, Mrs. Hendricks grade 3, Mr Edwards ( I think grade 4), Mrs McCauley was my kindergarten teacher, I was a alter girl at St Joseph's Church, played floor hockey in the basement of the church. l Christmas Eve masses. I went to St. Joseph's Elementary from Kindergarten to grade 8. I went to see the church and school in 2000, pretty heartbreaking really. Everything at the church was covered and under construction. The school is now a part of the University. Hey but guess what! I managed to go in and find a original black board, boy do I remember those. The bathrooms are still the same. The cement stairs are breaking apart from age, (we used to slide down them) you can't see the house anymore that grew those huge sunflower plants that we tried to reach. The floors still really shine. (funny the things you remember about a place 30 years later. I have a lot of pictures of the school and the church if anyone wants any, just let me know. They were taken in 2001. There are so many people I remember fondly though, and if you know me please PLEASE contact me I would love to be in touch with you.
