I don't have many working photos, but I really like this one of me at Yankee Stadium behind Boston Red Sox manager John McNamara. He was such a class act, especially compared to some of the Yankee managers.
One of my favorite basketball photos. The American women's team winning the gold at the Atlanta Olympics.
Another photo of kids at Silverado Park in Long Beach when I was teaching photography as a CETA Artist-In-Residence in 1980.
Someone said my studio wasn't child-friendly, so I'm putting up my photo of a 2-yr-old sitting on Walter, a 17 hand Thoroughbred. He loves little kids.
Blue with one of his fans, Miu Miu.
Went to Pacific City to have lunch with Doug and Betty Pizac, old friends from AP. I love my new Pendleton shirt!
This is the rock in the ocean at Pacific City. Some people think it looks like a gorilla.
Don Rypka said he nominated me for black and white photo. So here's my favorite one for day 2 of dead fir trees that were killed by a moth caterpillar. I nominate Wendy Lamm.
I love this picture of Biscuit being hugged by Walter. He is making "Baby Face" that foals do when they are scared. 2016
One of my favorites of just-for-fun photos. A man going down the stairs in SF's MOMA. Really weird because you don't see hats much in California.
This is when Walter was very young. He was scared because I had just moved him to a strange pasture, so his face expression showed how he was begging me to stay.
Just read another book about the greatest athlete that ever lived, Secretariat. Lawrence Scanlan's "The Horse That God Built" made me cry more than once. He wrote extensively about Secretariat and his groom Eddie Sweat. Swe
Blue at three months. Now he's four years old and a daddy.
My wonderful farm manager John Guy with Harry our favorite wether. Because of John's help, Harry is now thriving and even has a shiny coat! He was a little scrawny because he was bottle fed.
I love the fields in late summer:
My next door neighbor's Power Wagon being driven by an 11-year-old.
I live in the next Napa if the weather keeps warming in the real Napa. They're staring to plant many new varieties in a place where it used to be just Pinot Noir.
AND, for those of his fans who need an Oscar fix:
Harvest stuff. Very beautiful.
My friend and colleague Pete Leabo put this photo of mine through some machinations in Lightroom and made it 10 times brighter and sharp looking!
