Susan's Story
Life
Wow, I've been married 32 years to the right man for me. I lived next door to my husband-to-be until we were 10 years old, and then the state built a freeway right through our neighborhood. But 16 years later we reconnected, love was instantaneous, and we were engaged in 3 weeks and married 5 months later. We have two grown children, a boy and a girl.
I enjoy sewing quilts and knitting during the winter months. In the spring and summer you can usually find me pulling weeds in the various garden beds I've scattered through the front half of our 7 acre farm. I've also worked in stained glass and wood carving and may again when the inspiration strikes.

After a year and a half of retirement, I went back to work with my former employer, Leo Gentry Wholesale Nursery. I didn't want my old job back: too much stress. So instead of being Inventory Manager, I work on special projects, part-time. I send out the weekly availability numbers and "What's Looking Good in the Nursery." I clean junk codes out of the computer, assign pricing, and enter field numbers to the inventory. It's much more fun the second time around. I work with a great bunch of people.
We also have an adorable dog named Sidney who is pit bull-pharoah hound mix. And a good mouse-hunter cat named Curly. I'm scheduled to become a grandmother in April of 2009!
I love to reconnect with old friends and acquaintances.
