Susan's Story

Life As most of you know, I didn't graduate with the rest of my class. I received my G.E.D. thru MSU while the rest of you were enjoying your senior year. I was attending Boze. Vo-Tech in the clerical office program with my eldest child, Darcy, under my desk. Thanks to Ruth Thibault for helping me to accomplish finishing school!! Now, 30 years later, I have 4 wonderful kids (people) to shine on for me. Darcy works for the Government. Steady like her dad--(Any one remember who I married the first time?) Her sister, Jeanne, is an artist in jewlery and works for Mystery Ranch, a backpack maker here in Bozeman. My son, Jason is a web page designer. My First! The youngest (Jaelyn)is just stepping onto on her "Path of Life", but she played the clarinet in the "Sprit of the West" Band, from MSU, in the Turkey Day Parade in 2001! She got divorced from the cowboy and married a young man from St Helens, WA. He had two children from a previous marriage and they have taken to Jaelyn like she was a favorite aunt. They now have two children of their own, for a total of four. They are living in St Helens. I am so proud of my offspring! As far as the "other" answers to a couple of the questions--I have adopted the "biker" lifestyle. I guess you could say, at 50!! And, here I am, almost 60 and still getting the wind in my hair. I am still a "wild child" at heart. I ride a custom built, Volkswagon Trike. (Highway three wheeler) Those of you that showed up at the 30th probabl...Expand for more
y saw it parked out front of the S.O.B. I even made the JP Cycle page of the Sturgis 2001 web page. I married the man I have lived with for 10 years, in May of 2002. We had a scooter wedding with about 35 bikes, including my #2 daughter, and 8 chase rigs! We were married in LaHood, MT, and make that a frequent stop on our "Rides" Keep your eyes out for me tooling down the highways of the Northwest--You'll know it is me! School--I remember too well how I "did" school. After 40 years, I can't say I would change much of anything. I remember running up and down the football field on home games, but I wasn't much of a jock. In fact I'll bet Buzz-alski still had nightmares about me in gymnastics. I was excused from hi-school P.E. but I was hell on the unevens-no dismounts, tho, bad knees. Remember who the stars of the Gymnastics teams were? Jimmy Lessley and his iron crosses. Niel Crantz and his power on the parrell bars, Dennis Zindler on the hi-bar? We were the best team BSHS ever turned out. Now they don't even have a program. I can't say our old alma mater has fared well over the years. My oldest daughters went to BSHS and got in on the beginning of the major peer pressure that goes on, now. We were lucky, "back in the old days". I wouldn't do High School over for nothing. But I did manage to graduate from the school of hard knocks. No---not too many regrets, just missing friends. I can even hear Mrs. Micah on my shoulder when I form a sentence wrong--Ouch!
