I met Kevin Thacker September/October 1991 uptown when we would all "cruise" the square back then. Those were the day's huh? We dated for a couple of years, then married in July 1993. All these years with the same person, who'd thought it possible LOL!! I'm not going to say it's been all roses, as with any marriage it's a working day by day progress.
May 26, 1998 came the high risk birth of our son Tyler Ray Thacker, he has been on the A+ Honor Roll straight at Piney Chapel K-4, then in the 5th Grade we've had some high B's in the mix, but I'm still very proud of him!! 6th Grade, seems to be breezing through!! s 6th grade year!! August 2010 going to Elkmont High School!! Sometimes it's still hard to believe. Elkmont seems to be going pretty well.
I'm still at home. I like to call myself a "Domestic Engineer"; instead, of a "Housewife"! Just makes me feel more important than I really am. LOL
Oh just in case you might be wondering, as of June 14, 2010 I have a titanium hip!! Yes, a total left hip replacement!! Doing better than Dr.Alexander thought. I just can't believe no pain & now have legs that are the same length!! My left was 1 1/2 inches shorter all my life!
We are all Gemini's if that tells ya anything! LOL Leggo is our spoiled FurBaby, she's a Dachshund (wiener dog).
I enjoy writing poetry & long snail mail letters (a quite forgotten thing now the computers have taken over! LOL)& calligraphy. I've collected hand blown glass unicorns & baseball cards pretty much my entire life. I'd still consider myself a "tomboy" I like to fish, ride 4 wheelers, go muddin & RC Truck racing. I've been known to put in a CD and crank it loud (hope my neighbors like my kind of music LOL).
June 2011 I discovered a new hobby!! I LOVE making jewelry. I have glass beads (I do not mess with plastic or acrylic beads, the only acrylic ones I have is alphabet letters, for a name), all colors/shapes & sizes. I've made necklaces, earrings, bracelets & anklets. I've had ideas cluttering my head & try to make what I see, sometime it works out & sometimes not, but least its something I love to do!
I do enjoy my friends and making new friendships, although for some reason some people mistake friends/friendships for "looking for hookups" & I am NOT into, nor do I wish to hook up with anyone. As I said before, I'm married & happily!
Let's see...I'm a good Ol Redneck from Alabama USA I moved so far away from home, we are across the field, so if you remember where I grew up, then you shouldn't have any problems with where I am now! Not sure what else to say, so I guess that should be enough!
I know pretty boring isn't it? Sorry, I don't have anything glamorous to tell you, but I'm glad that keeping in touch seems to be a future potential!!
