Susan's Story
Life
Since 1975, I have been pretty busy. Shortly after high school, worked with friends from Tucker (Chris, Ricky & Howard) at Quinn's Mill Restaurant for 8 years doing the books for them. Got married in 1979. Have 3 children, Jason 26, Drew 23, Anna 14. The reason for the gap is we tried for a girl which was the year I was president of the PTA at Briarlake Elem. in 1994, and on a lot of other committees. I am very involved in the community with the schools in volunteer positions from president to director of the Miss Lakeside Pageant for 11 years, which I am still doing. The schools I have worked in are where all my current friends come from. I work at our company doing the books also. I am a real Georgia fan, go Dawgs! My husband Clay went there and our oldest son Jason graduated from UGA. Drew went to Savannah College of Art & Design and majored in Animation. He is currently looking for employment. Anna is going to be at Lakeside as a freshman in the fall. Anna is a dedicated dancer. She is on a dance troupe and competes too. I mainly do a lot of organizing for different organizations around the neighborhood. I have a lot of fun being with kids and helping them have a great experience while they are in school. Since I was very shy while at Tucker, which none of my current friends believe, I am making up for that now. I am anything but shy. I have been happily married to Clay Weibel for 30 years and have 3 great kids! I have been to all of our reunions and look forward to seeing everyone at the next one.

oyfriend and girlfriend in seventh grade since he gave me his id bracelet, I know that is weird that I remember that, but I thought it was special. I would say Chris Reynolds would be a close second. The teacher that inspired me the most was Coach McChesney and Coach Murray. It was Coach McChesney's class senior year that I decided I didn't have to be so shy since he made us do oral reports and I had to get over it. He is currently on Dekalb's school board and will represent Dekalb schools well. I would do things a lot differently is I had it to do over as far as high school goes. I teach all the girls I have in the Miss Lakeside pageant that they should not let other people pull them down or keep them from being all they can be. Peer pressure is something that can make your life miserable if you let it. I would like to have been like I am now in high school. I wasted a lot of time being shy and scared of what people thought of me. I should have done what I wanted to which would have been to be outgoing, tryout for cheerleading or gymnastics, be involved in the running of the class, organizing things for our class, etc... I guess the happiest school memories I have are being on the swim team junior year and feeling a part of something. I dated Paul Shoemaker who went to St. Pius from sophomore year on, so that took me away from Tucker friends. But if I had not done that, I would not have met my husband of Clay so all things happen for a reason.
