Susan's Story

Life Hello everyone, This certainly is an amazing site! I hope that I can connect with some of you at some point to find out what each one of you got up to with the rest of your lives! As for me, I'm divorced (since 1989). I have one son, aged 23, who is a super kid, and who's still trying to find his way in life! I teach Grade Two in North Vancouver, where I've worked and lived for 11 years. I live on my own and have gotten quite used to it, although it would be nice to have someone around to help with house repairs once in awhile! As for education, I went to Cap College, then S.F.U. and got my B.A. in 1990. Then I moved to Montreal for a couple of years and worked and went to school there, also, getting a teaching certificate there in 1992. Then I came back to Vancouver, and first lived and taught in Maple Ridge for six years, after which I decided to be closer to the city, so moved to North Vancouver in 1997, where I've been since. hly recommend as a place to relax and unwind. Been to Europe three times and hope to go again this summer. Worked as a nanny in Switzerland for six months right out of highschool, then travelled around Asia with my sister and a gang of foreigners for four months, before coming home and becoming a Draftsperson for two years, from 1980-to 1982. Then decided that that was way too boring and couldn't see myself doing that for the rest of my life, so decided to go back to school. Basically i've been in school part time my whole adult life. I've got eight years of university education to date, which is why i figure it's about time i went for my Master's. What else? How much can a person write about their life in one small essay?! Getting divorced was probably the worst experience of my life. I'm not quite sure what the best experience is yet - perhaps it's drinking rum punches by the pool in Veradero, Cuba, feeling the warmth of the sun and not having a care in the world. I'm looking forward to feeling that sun again during the holidays, while sitting by the pool and sipping Mojitoes in Cayo Coco. Then back to reality...
