There are probably not many people who remember me. I wasn't very active in after-school programs, I worked most of my Jr. and Sr. high school years. I worked either babysitting, or doing fast-food or clerical jobs. My last job in Staunton was in my senior year. I worked for an attorney near the courthouse. After that, I went to VCU in Richmond. I didn't graduate from there though, I came back home to Staunton, and got married to a Waynesboro boy in 1972. Unfortunately, that ended in divorce in 1977. I remarried in 1981 and traveled around the country with my husband, who was in the military. Since 1991, I have been living in the Richmond area, and now live on a farm in Dinwiddie County, Va. near McKenney. I know! You've probably never heard of McKenney, Va. Believe me it is way out in the boonies. But it is nice here, and just an hour south of Richmond. I went to Cosmetology school and graduated in 1980. I worked for several shops over the years, and in 2004 I got the nerve to open a small barber shop in Blackstone, Va. I have been doing business there for the past 8 years.
