Susan's Story
I decided after 30 years, I should see who is still out there and will claim that they are getting older like the rest of us...ACTIVE but older. Looking down the list of alum brought back a host of memories of high school. Both graduated from University of MO-Columbia. After serving 10 years in the Navy, living in Charleston, SC for 9 years and Memphis, TN for 2.
Rod and I have been living since outside of Atlanta, GA and have resided in the south much longer than growing up in Missouri. Sorry mid west but we are now southerners. Rod works for Garmin International (GPSs) as a product trainer for the Southeast, traveling 6 states, on the road every week. He does get back to Missouri about 4 times a year to attend meetings in Olathe at the headquarters. He loves his job. I work in student ministry and have for the last 7...Expand for more
years. I am the program coordinator for the middle and high school ministry program at Mount Pisgah UMC. I love my job, and I love to grow students in their faith.
We have two children Scott (22) an IT geek with CompuCom with GE Financials, Hallie (20) finishing up May of 2009 with her degree from Lee University, TN, with a communications major and a minor in missions. She wants to work for a non profit org. Neither have jumped into marriage like their parents did, but we are seeing the signs of movement in that direction. Rod and I will celebrate our 29th anniversary in August. That seems to be quite an accomplishment these days, so we will celebrate large as we move into our 30th year.
We would love to hear from our fellow classmates. We send blessings from the ATL! Let us know if there will be a 30th reunion!
