Susan's Story

Life After a practice run, I finally found and married my soulmate, Tom. We've been married for since 1989 & enjoying our life in Texas, where he Tom is a Police Officer. Steve, our oldest, passed away in 2012. Jeana, our youngesr, is a Chef, with a Master's in Nutrition and Health Education. She has 3 children. I've decided to close the chapter on my nursing career after 42 years, spend much of my time training horses, and doing horse rescue. In September, 2007, we purchased 156 acres in southern Oregon and have expanded the rescue. We are currently the largest wild ...Expand for more
horse rescue in the Pacific Northwest (Whispering Winds Equine Rescue), and operate a wild horse sanctuary as well - Living Legends Wild Horse Sactuary. God has blessed us so much and I have never been happier. In 2015, we relocated the rescue to West Texas so I could be my dad's hospice nurse. Both my parents have passed, and although I remain retired from nursing I stay busy with my Laser Engraving and Sublimation business Hope you're doing well & remember - "Life is not a dress rehearsal." Enjoy it as much as possible. Age is a state of mind, years are a limitation.
