Susan's Story
Somehow, I've always felt the need to work hard, & it's a hard habit to break. I enjoy our two dogs, friends, traveling, concerts, plays, movies, drawing, painting...This year I am trying to loosen up & take things as they come, although the hardest thing for me is to leave something out before going to bed.
As a real estate broker, I prefer to manage our commercial properties out of our home offices, instead of the 45 minute commute. We are building out/adding on to a couple of our commercial properties in the Houston area. And, we were really lucky to sell two others last year.
We buy properties, dress them up & lease or sell them. We are also connected with O&G projects, but I reduced my workload because of a frozen shouler, and I'm learning to relax more with my hobbies until it unfreezes.

and have done. It is amazing that it has been over 40 years since graduation. (I ended up graduating in 1969 to please my parents instead of 1970, so I haven't gone to the reunions.) I have tried keeping up with a few friends & even met up with Roland Schweer. He became my physical thearpist when my car was rear ended a couple of times while sitting at Houston traffic lights. It was fun catching up with him on everyone he knew & to hear about his college days when he met his wife.
My two children are grownups, and I have been remarried almost 19 years. We work together and play together.
My husband has helped me move Mom four times in the last two years. (We've asked her to not ask to move again for three years, as that is how I got a frozen shoulder in September. I now appreciate athletes a lot more now!)
