Susan's Story
Dear friends, Hello! How are you? I hope you are well. I guess you are wondering what happened to me. Well, I'm still here in Pittsburgh! I work at the University of Pittsburgh full-time as an Administrative Assistant for a Vice Provost. I've been in my current department for about 16 years but at the University for a total of 28 years. Now THAT is scary! My husband and I were married late at 32. We had hoped to start a family but then I found I found out I had thyroid cancer. I had some other health issues as well. It took a long time but somehow we got through it. I thank God that that those days are now behind me. I am well right now but as you know, life can change from moment to moment. Right now I live my life day by day with only slight glimpses of the past and future. I value and treasure every day as a gift from God. We have no children of our own but we do have many lovely nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. We love them as if they were our own.

o artist to be the mandolin/fiddle player for a new Irish folk/rock band in Pittsburgh. The name of the group is "Ar Eigean Gael". We play traditional Irish and Scottish drinking tunes/ session pieces in various pubs and cultural & charity events around the City. We're currently participating in the Pittsburgh Renaissance Faire out in New Stanton. If you have time feel free to visit our website. Just search on barely Irish or Ar Eigean Gael on Myspace when you have time.
I thank God for bringing Ar Eigean Gael into my life. It lifted me out of my darkest days and filled my soul with happiness. My advice to you, don't ever give up a chance to do something you love to do even if you are ill. Go ahead and take a chance! It may be the very thing that makes you well again.
Well thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping by to read my profile. Now you know what happened to me. :>) Can't wait to find out what happened to you! In the meantime I send my best wishes to you for a lifetime of good health, prosperity and happiness. Hope to see you at the next reunion. God bless!
