Susan's Story
It's a wild wonderful life. After leaving Tiffin in 1976, I moved to Toledo, went to the University of Toledo, got a degree in Accounting and an MBA. While in Toledo. I worked at Owens-Illinois and Libbey-Owens-Ford. In 1991 I moved to Warsaw, IN, to work for Zimmer, the world's largest manufacturer of orthopedic implants. After 18 wonderful months, I accepted an offer to join a start-up consulting firm. Since then I have worked in consulting for the Hackett Group, E&Y, PriceWaterhouse Coopers and now IBM. I've worked in countries all over the world ... England, Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, South America and, of course, the United States. At the same time, about 5 years ago a friend set me up on a blind date. Six months later I got married. De Stewart is a sweet, wonderful gentleman, born and raised in Louisville and I now have a wonderful 24 year old step son.
In 2006, De (aka, the Colonel) and I opened Herbs & Spice and Everything Nice in Findlay Market, Cincinnati. We offer over 400 different culinary spices and herbs. The store has become very popular. In 2008 we won several awards including the Cincinnati Regional Chamber, WE Celebrate award for Best New Product or Service. We also were named Best Smoked Salts by Cincinnati Magazine and were featured in an on-line article for CinciChic.com. Most Saturdays I can be found working at our store.
