Susan's Story
Life
I am married with three children: Stephanie Krafft(29), married 5 yrs and Masters student at Xavier Univ. in Occupational Therapy. She lives in N. Kentucky; Bryan(27), Asst. Man. for Expert Tire, Pulaski & Meredith(24), working as a Design Engineer at Timber Truss in Salem, VA. She and Bryan recently bought houses. We have lived in Pulaski, VA since 1969. I worked as a medical secretary for a local Community Services organization for 15 yrs and then changed to Radford University three years ago, working in the Student Counseling Center. I really enjoy working in the mental health field.
2008 Update:
We now have 4 1/2 grandsons! Three are just turning 2 yrs, one was born June 30th and one is due in January! Stephanie (35) has now been married 11 yrs, is an Occupational Therapist in a school system and now lives outside of Charlotte, NC in Fort Mill, SC. She has the youngest 2 yr old, named Malcolm (for my dad). Bryan (33) is now the Parts Manager for Advanced Auto Parts in Christiansburg, VA and has been married 4 yrs. He has the second 2 yr old, Gavin and the new baby, Mason. Meredith's (30) info is the same and has been married 4 yrs. She has the oldest 2 yr old, Jackson...Expand for more
, and is expecting the next one. However, 4 yrs ago, they did buy property in Montgomery Co. (VA) consisting of 66 acres of land and a 1920's Victorian house, which hadn't been lived in for 30 yrs! They have been very busy remodeling and rebuilding while working and raising a baby! They are actually living in part of it so far, so there is some hope! I left Radford University several years ago, worked for a photographer for a short while and then with a church for about a year. Until recently I was babysitting with Jack (we had a great time) and now I am a caregiver for an older man several days a week. In some ways it is easier than babysitting, but it gets "old" after awhile! My husband Rodney retired in December and he now spends a lot of time raising cattle on a small farm near Bryan's property in Pulaski County.
Update 2013: I enjoyed seeing many of you at our 45th(!) reunion in July. I recognized most of you! Well, we now have 7 grandsons (under age 6)! As of the end of January we have: 3 /6 yr olds, 1 /4 1/2 yr old, 2 /4 yr olds & 1 /2 yr old! It's a lively, noisy time when they're together. I'm really enjoying being a Nani (Nonny) & hate to think of them growing up.
