Susan's Story

Hi Everyone! When I graduated from BC in June 1976 I was engaged to the love of my life, Johnny Rimer. We married in July 1976 and are still together and after 32 years together we are still having fun and even more so now that our boys are all grown. We are the very proud parents of 4 sons, John Thomas,30, married to Stacey Bailey Rimer and the proud parents of my 2 beautiful grandchildren, Lauren 5, and Ashton,2. Joshua Brandon, 26, single and still at home but works hard and is saving for a house of his own. Joseph Allen and Joel Aaron,twins, Joseph is the oldest by 4 minutes, and they are 20. Joseph is in the Marine Reserves and is employed at Michelin, by the way so are John Thomas and Joshua Brandon, and Joseph was married last July to Lisa Sightler Rimer and he was called to active duty on April 21st, 2008 and is now in California for desert training and will be deployed to Iraq in Sept. 2008. still at home and is currently looking for a job. When Johnny and I married we lived in Columbia for about 18 months and then moved to West Columbia for about 5 years and we then moved to Gaston, SC and we have been here ever since. We have had a very full and busy life raising 4 boys and we still have a full and busy life! We both work hard every day and spend most of our time with family and friends and going fishing every chance we get! I am looking forward to my husband retiring in a few years and wishing that I could but unless we win the lottery it ain't gonna' happen!! LOL I am also looking forward to Joel finding a job and moving forward in his life, Joseph coming home safely and Josh finding himself a house and Me and Johnny having more time to fish and do things together and I am definitely ready for some more grandchildren! I can only hope that everyone from BC out there is happy and healthy and doing well!! Best wishes to you all!
