Life I graduated from Mumford and went on to get a degree in communications (Radio/TV) from the University of Detroit. I met my husband, Mike, in college and we have been married for 51 years and have a son Brian (married to Trudy) who has given us two wonderful grandchildren (Ella and Will) and a daughter, Megan, who graduated in from MSU with a degree in Communications! Like mother, like daughter! She at least was in television with a job at the ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids. She married Joe Porcaro, who also worked at the station and they have three children, Dane 12, Brody 5, and Joss 3. It was the radio studio at Mumford that got me started in the communications field. Poor Neil Bruss..he will always be "Steel Brute" after my gaff during announcing the news cast crew! I'll always remember the day that JFK died as I was in the studio at the time the PA announcement came across to tell us he had been shot. College I went on to the University of Detroit after Mumford and found college to actually be easier than the "accelerated curriculum" track at Mumford.
