Susan's Story
I am the oldest of 11children; I have 6 sisters and 4 brothers who are all still living. As a result of my place in the family, I wanted to be a teacher. I graduated West Chester University in 1973 with a degree in Elementary Education. I then taught 7 years for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (5 years at St. Eleanor's in Collegeville and 2 years at St. Aloysius in Pottstown).
I got married in November 1979 to Lou Fanti, a computer programmer/attorney. We moved to the Downingtown-Coatesville area in 1980 and in 1981, I began working at Shared Medical Systems (SMS). During my time at SMS, I learned computer software and was Word Processing Supervisor as well as an administrative assistant. We adopted twin boys aged 12 in 1989. In 1993 we were divorced and I moved back to Pottstown in 1994.
I met my present husband, Dan Costantini in November 1994. We were married in April 1997 and went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. I was laid off from my job at SMS in October 2000 shortly after Seimens bought out the company. I briefly work...Expand for more

In September 2002, I returned to teaching in Elementary School when I took the position of Technology Teacher at Gwynedd-Mercy Academy in Spring House, a private Catholic Academy run by the Sisters of Mercy. I taught students from Kindergarten to 8th Grade computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. I retired in April 2012 after I had my right ankle replacement surgery.
I enjoy travel--we have been to Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Pero, Chile, the UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway as well as Canada. We plan on visiting many more places since I am now retired and Dan is working part-time after retiring from Exelon (formerly PECO) in December 2013. We recently spent 2 weeks in Florida during the winter and 1 week in Williamsbug in September. We also enjoy classical music and attend 9 or more concerts of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
