Life I left Sandia I really didn't know what I was going to do with my life. I ended up married and then divorced with 3 kids to raise, when I moved to Farmington in 1988. I started taking some classes at San Juan College here. I then met and married my second husband who also had 3 kids. We were never like the Brady bunch thats for sure. We also had 3 more kids. My husband is a volunteer Firefighter for our community, which is outside Farmington. I ended up bartending down here. That was alot of fun for several years. I can still pour a mean drink. I no longer bartend, after our last child started school, I decided to join our local fire dept. too. With my husband being the chief for the last 5 years and me being the Safety Lt. for the last 3 years. I didn't have time for anything else. With all the trainings of fire and medical I've had over the last 3 years, It finally got put to the test last year on New Years Day 2006. I was able to help deliver my first grandchild. Greatest feeling i've ever experienced. Between my husband and I we have 7 grandkids with another due in March this year. Can't wait that will even it all out 4 boys and 4 girls. My husband and I besides enjoying helping with the fire dept, we also enjoy going camping, fishing, hiking. With living on the border of Colorado the beauty of the mountains are only and hour away. Serge and I currently remodeling our home. We just finished with the bathroom, putting in a wood floor in the den. and recarpeting the bedrooms and living room. The big job will be my kitchen, I enjoy alot of cooking for a large family or just entertaining. Were redesigning the kitchen to make it work for us. well I will update this again at a later date. everyone out there that remembers get in contact, would love to remimnse. 6/1/08 Well heres that update i've promised some time ago. We are still living up here in Farmington. Right now we are still redoing the house. We just put a double car garage up, and also finished painting the outside of the house. Glad that is over. Most of the time we spend our time at Navajo dam or Vallecito Reservior, camping, fishing, or boating. We just recently purchase a polaris ranger and have been enjoying 4-wheeling behind farmington lake in the back hills. Sure wished I had one of those when I was a kid. Our family has also increase some. We now have 2 new grandbabys bringing the total to 9.
