Personal Chef to the Rescue: New Business Serves Up Healthy Gourmet Dinners for Time-Starved..........
Imagine being able to eat restaurant-quality dinners brimming with fresh local ingredients night after night, no matter how hectic the schedules of everyone in the household. Imagine also that the at-home meals take into account both nutritional balance and personal preferences ¿ with no cooking required. That¿s the success recipe behind The Healthy Gourmet Personal Chef Service, operated by Personal Chef Sue Clair Ingram, who serves up healthy, delicious meals tailored to the taste buds of clients.
¿My cooking service takes the stress and work out of mealtime,¿ says Ingram, who traces her love for cooking to her Ukrainian-born grandmother, who created a home-based dinner restaurant in Philadelphia, preparing everything from scratch with her five brothers and sisters. ¿Instead of fast food with its questionable nutrition, Healthy Gourmet clients get mouthwatering, wholesome meals that are sophisticated or simple, according to their tastes and health needs.¿

t consultation to discuss likes and dislikes and the frequency of meals to be provided. She emails menus to the client for approval, shops for all the ingredients, cooks up a storm in the client¿s kitchen on a pre-arranged day, prepares the meals for storage in the refrigerator or freezer with simple instructions for heating them up, and leaves the kitchen clean as a whistle and smelling wonderful. The customized menus accommodate a broad range of special health needs and lifestyle preferences.
With a degree in dietetics and more than 30 years in the food service industry, Ingram has experience as a private chef for individuals with cancer, HIV/AIDS, depression, high blood pressure, diabetes, vegan or vegetarian preferences, or a desire for weight loss. She has also served as Head Chef at a natural health food restaurant and attended culinary classes at the Restaurant School in Philadelphia.
¿Food is the foundation of life,¿ says Ingram. ¿I cook for health and longevity, and being a personal chef allows me to mix in variety, convenience and quality. making eating a total pleasure!¿
