Susan's Story
Life
Hi! I live in Washington now, right up the road. I'm married to a super guy, Gary, and we have two great kids, Austin, who will be 5 in August, and Brooke, who will be 4 in December. Gary and I own a demolition and excavating business and keep quite busy with that and the kids along with the constant renovation we're doing on our home.
School
I don't remember much about high school, but I know I was certain I'd graduate college and become a doctor or teacher, and I've done none of those things. My life is nothing like I thought it would be, and I'm glad. I live in the country, although the city keeps getting closer, and have a great husband, who is 11 years older...Expand for more
than me, that I wouldn't have guessed either. I have two small children and own a demolition/excavating business with my husband--that one I never would have imagined. I do remember thinking back then I'd be a career woman first, and I'm not, definately not.
College
I went to the U of I for a couple of years, majoring in psych pre med with minors in history and education, but ending up with more interest in my fiance that I met there than schooling, and got married instead of finishing school. I did end up with a great job because of the time I did do at the U of I, and even though that first marriage didn't work out, I'm now happily married with the best family ever.
