More about Susann:"December 15, 1959 I was born in Manhattan (West Side - Hells Kitchen), my parents moved to Yardville, NJ when I was 6 months old. 1968 my parents bought a 2nd home in Mt. Pocono, PA in the Locust Lake Village Community. The second day of summer vacation we were driving up to the mountain to spend out entire summer vacation. It was beautiful, truely the happiest time of my life. Moved when I was 8th grade to Mercerville, NJ where I graduated from Steinert High School. 1972, 1974 and 1976 were the years my mom attempted suicide. From that point on my dad and I tried very hard not to let her be home alone. One of us had to be there to help her. In 1983 at age 24 I became engaged to John Feehrer, and we soon moved in together while we planned our wedding. 1985 I was broken hearted my parents sold their Mt. Pocono home. They felt the drive was too hard being they were getting older. The true be told my mom hated being so far from her kids. At the time Dan (my brother) was serving in the Air Force and I was living in Yardville, NJ. I was happy when they got an appartment not too far from me and John. March 1986 I realized I was pregnant and was excited to tell John. Unfortunately at the time he was not as happy and the wedding was cancelled. June 1 1986 I relocated to Spring Hill Florida. I became an unwed mother at age 25 when I gave birth to my beautiful daughter on September 23, 1986. August 3, 1991 my moms battle with depression and alcoholism got the best of her and I lost my best frien...Expand for more
d on that day. It took me 5 years to get over that. I eloped with Joseph W. Hunter on Friday, September 13, 1991. Joseph adopted Shannon in 1993. During the marriage I gave birth to two wonderful son who come into the world, Walter September 15, 1992 and Harry November 18, 1997. My sister in law was not doing well health wise so I relocated the family 2000 to Long Beach, CA where we lived for 2 years. When my dad talked to me I knew he was very ill and again we moved back to Spring Hill, Florida. My dad had a stroke Easter Sunday 2005, he never seem to really recover from the surgery and again I lost my best friend in the entire world on Valentine's Day February 14, 2006. I was still grieving when on my birthday December 15, 2006 I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer where I endured 3 surgerys and radiation therapy, first on February 2007, second February 2008 and the final surgery was March 2009. Going through such a tramadic time I seen who truely loved and cared for me. Which made me look closer at my marriage and make me think about what would happen to my children if I crossed over and was not here to care for them. I did not want my daughter to be alone in the world with no real blood relatives. So I wrote a letter(s) to John and worked to reunited John with his daughter Shannon. I am happy to say even though they live in different states they have a good relationship. What was nice to see each of them took the time to travel to the different states to spend time with each other. I am happy for the two of them. My son's refer to him as Uncle John. The marriage Joseph did not last due to broken promises and ended in divorce February 3, 2012. Joseph passed 9 months later on November 24, 2012. The funeral home got his date wrong and his paperwork and plaque read November 25, 2012. Being there was no one left in his immediate family I didn't see the need to fight to have it corrected and just left it alone. All that brings us to now. I am a struggling yet very happy and contented single mom. I try to do the best by my children and my self. I am enjoying life and look forward to see how my story here continues. Reading this over I can see why I went into a branch of the medical field, I am also taking care of someone. I also love to play World Of Warcraft (on line computer game) My favorite toon there is a healing priest, go figure.".
