Susie's Story
In 2000 Butch and I bought 112 acres in a little area called Iola, TX . It is 20 miles south of Madisonville and 35 miles north of College Station. In early 2006 we sold our home in Deer Park and moved to the country. What a culture shock. I am 35 miles from a Wal-Mart. Butch continued to work until December 2007, when he retired from Lubrizol after 38 years. It was time. We started our own business in March 2009. We do Custom Embroidery. xpected. We just thought we were going to retire.......Our son Jason graduated from Texas A & M in 2005 and is now a Professional Firefighter/Paramedic for the Longview Fire Department. He is not married and no kids. Butchs three children have made us grandparents 5 times and great grandparents 1 time. We have both had a few health issues, me more so than Butch, but is nothing that a good doctor can't take care of. Life is good. I look forward to seeing all of you at our 40th reunion.
