One of Susie's favorite quotes is:"When youâre a plus size woman, people like to say "yeah, she's cute in the face", as if being full figured is such a disgrace. Honey, Iâm cute in the face, and Iâm thick in the waist. I look good whether Iâm in cotton, leather, or lace. Iâm beautiful, vibrant and above all, smart! And there's more to me than my weight, I also have a heart. Yes my clothes may be a bigger size, that just means you have access to a bigger prize. We all are not self-conscious about our weight, and we never have a problem getting a date. So donât think your small frame gives you more pull, Iâm a hot, sexy, curvy woman with a figure that's full. ~AMEN~ FOR US BIG GIRLS!!!!! Oh hell yes and don't you forget it ;)
Never underestimate me
Never doubt that I can accomplish what I say I will do
Never think I am not smart, intelligent or witty
I am all of these things
I am a WOMAN.
Do not think I have nothing to contribute to this world
I will contribute more than some do in a lifetime
Do not think I am someone to be discarded with age
I will with age be witty, smart and have wisdom
I am a WOMAN.
Never try to tell me this is a "man's world"
Women have contributed to this world for centuries
In life, in death, in famines and war
I will give of myself - my life and my love
I am a WOMAN.
Do not tell me I am worthless to society
Because I am divorced, or widowed and alone
Women alone can accomplish much in their solitude
Finding out who they are-or what they can become
I am a WOMAN.
Do not pity me for the wrinkles of time
For time has given these for being a survivor

I RELEASE YOU
I release you.
I release the anger, resentment, and pain.
I release the power you've had over my life.
...I release the power you've tried to gain.
For no matter where I go or what I do
I realize this eternal truth.
I am NOT my past.
I am NOT my parents.
I am NOT my relationships.
I am ME.
No more. NO less
AND I finally deserve to be free.

~HOPE~
When we understand that life is a series of passages and
each has helped us to become more then we were before.
Then the change we must endure and the mountains
we must climb become easier to face. When we begin to
define what is most precious to us, when we find the courage to follow our own path and make a concious choice to see through the eyes of hope, this is when our life's purpose is revealed....
Have always loved this!!!!
~~ All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory. I was naïve. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, and only I, could a...nswer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: that I am nobody but myself. ~Ralph Ellison, "Battle Royal"~~
A writing not conducive to
The words I want to say
An end that I will not pursue
A place I will not stay.
A resignation in some form?
Perhaps; yet also fear
Of pity, hatred, love and scorn,
Of truth becoming clear.
I believe what I think I know
My memory's a haze
A blacked-out, flashed-up picture show
Of life lived in a daze
The poetic, impulsive streak
Has well learned how to act;
Behind pure fiction to retreat.
To guard the mask intact. The brave and lonesome fighting soul
Is torn between two paths
She knows not which one to extol,
From which to spin her craft.
I know what I think I believe
Yet am so scared to grope
Through darkness, crying to be relieved,
To find a glint of hope.".
