Life I have come a long way from my former life at Smoky Hill High School. I would like to say I had fond memories of the place, but that would not be the truth. But what is the truth is that I am grateful for all of the negative situations, challenges and obstacles that were part of my journey growing up and even am grateful for those people who were in my life that were the source of those events, as they helped shaped me into the person I am today, and I like how I turned out. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, good and bad and that nothing happens by accident. Negative people and events give us a chance to choose to either fall victim to them/it or to choose to grow and become stronger. I chose to become stronger. I was married for 18 years but divorced in 2005. My ex and I are still friends and now former business partners. I never had children (the 2-legged variety) but have 2 dogs, 5 cats (all rescues), 13 feral cats that I have had fixed, feed and shelter, and 2 Horses. In 2010, I sold out my ownership in my watch & jewelry store in Houston, TX and have enjoyed being semi-retired until 2011. But am moving onward to the future and the next chapter of my life.
