Suzanne's Story
It has been a lot of years.....I've lived in Ypsilanti, Germany, Woodbridge Va., Eation Rapids, and Grand Blanc. Now the Traverse City area is a lot like the Michigan winters that I remember as a kid. I listed living with my parents because I am the caregiver for them now. We put an addition on their home to give them assisted living. It's a full time job.
12/29/2009 The addition I have to this profile is that my parents passed away in the last 2 years and now I have the home here in Mancelona.
It is beautiful up here. I enjoy being back in a rural area once again. It reminds me of the farm we had in Eaton Rapids for eleven years. I have three sons and a daughter the youngest of which is 29 now and the oldest 37. I've been married for 39 years and been involved with all kinds of activities and a few significant jobs but enjoyed raising children the most. My current situation keeps me tied down quite a bit but my computer keeps me in touch with things going on. It is strange thinking that all these names that I read and remember are actually from as long ...Expand for more
ago as they are. I have warm memories of all the school years. So many faces come to mind that made them all good years. Like everyone, there have been troubled times, exciting times, and those that I thought I would never make it through. The strength as well as the joy through all things has been my faith in Christ. How thankful I am that all the things I could do nothing about, God was good enough to help me through. I was sorry to not have finished my highschool years at Dearborn High. I had been in that school system nearly all my life but my parents took a business opportunity out of the area and I spent my junior and senior years in two different schools. My senior year at Willow Run was a real good year. I met great people and was able to be involved even though I was a new student. Since then I have gone on with drama and music and enjoy working with a group in Traverse City on a yearly drama program. Whatever the future holds much of what I am and will become, is in part influenced by all of the friends and classmates I have known for so many years.
