Suzanne's Story
After graduation, I worked full-time in the Philadelphia area. In 1971 I met my husband, who is from eastern North Carolina, while he was in the Navy and stationed in Philadelphia. We were married in 1972 and in 1973 I moved from Philadelphia to eastern NC...I have been here since that time. At first, it was a "cultural shock"; now I admit it was a good decision. I attended Pitt Community College and have taken classes through East Carolina University; one of these days I may even finish out my degree. I have two wonderful daughters (the oldest is married and has two children, the youngest is single and enjoying life). I live on a 300+ acre farm which is quite different from the row houses of "H" Street.

ent (Department of Social Services) for 30 years and retired in 2004.
Now that I am retired, I am doing some traveling (have been to most of the states east of the Mississippi and last summer traveled to PEI, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick); next summer I am going for two weeks to Alaska. I also have been spending time with my two grandchildren.
I enjoy sewing and quilting...recently three of my friends and I took knitting lessons...all I can say is my calling in life is not to make sweaters or even simple scarves. I enjoy reading and movies.
The one thing I do regret is that I lost touch with most of friends and classmates I had in highschool. I would love to hear from anyone who attended FHS (especially during the years '64-'69).
