Suzanne's Story

Life How to put your life into 4000 words since High School. Well, I graduated from Western Illinois University and moved to San Diego to seek my fortune. Not finding it, I enlisted into the Army in 1975 as a social worker and did three years at Ft. Gordon, Ga and Aschaffenburg, Germany. Upon discharge, I started with the Dept. of Children and Family Services back in Macomb, Illinois. I worked that for four years, then quit to return to school to work on my Masters Degree, which was almost completed but interrupted by the birth of my first son, Daniel. Two years after his birth, I returned to work for DCFS as a ch...Expand for more
ild protection investigator. I retired in December 2010 after 27 years of service. Although retired, I continue to work and currently work with developmentally disabled adults at Cornerstone. I have three kids-Daniel,Christina and William. 28,23,and18 years old. William was a surprise at 42 and definitely my last surprise. I am divorced, and that could be another 4000 words in and of itself. I have learned much about relations and myself, and suffice it to say, I am okay with where I am at today. I currently live in Crest Hill, Illinois outside of Joliet where I work. I would love to hear from old classmates.
