Suze's Story
Left El Paso in 1973. Traveled around the country in a Chevy van with my boyfriend, who, shortly decided to join the Navy and become a pilot. We got married and I went from hippie girl to officer's wife within a year. Stranger things have happened. We lived in Florida, California, Japan and the Phillipines while in the Navy. My one and only child, Nathan, was born in 1977 in Okinawa, Japan. At the ripe old age of 23 I became a single mother, after the pilot and I divorced. I stayed in California and raised my son on my own. He is an artist, and makes his living selling his art and doing tattoos. I am very proud of him. He has given me the greatest gif...Expand for more
t...which is my granddaughter, Simone. The marriage thing just didn't seem to work for me, so I am single these days. I work as a school librarian at an Alternative/Adult school in Fresno, CA.
I am still very much the hippie girl at heart, and live in an artist's community in Fresno. I've always wanted to live in the mountains, so hope to move only a short distance away from my family once I retire. But, still have a fews years to go.
For some reason I am listed as class of 1973. But, actually my class was 1974. After I left El Paso in '73 I finished my education elsewhere. Would love to hear from anyone who might remember me. Or, even if you don't!
