wasn't the bad person...the people who took advantage of me were the bad guys. So I started standing up for myself. Having never done that before I haven't always done it correctly which causes problems! I'm still in a learning curve there!
I've learned that I need to be very careful about whose lives I let myself get involved in and who I let get involved in mine. Some people are just toxic for others.
You can't trust all peoples hearts...even ones you think you know.
I've made some bad decisions in my life. I've let myself get drawn into things that I shouldn't have. I've given 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and more chances to a few that I wanted so badly to believe in even though I knew in my heart that they just didn't have good intentions and never would. I've let anger take over my emotions...which always ends badly. But..I apologize when I'm wrong. It's unfortunate that all people can't do the same.
God tells us to forgive and forget. It's a very hard thing to do sometimes but we have to do it so that we can move forward in our lives. This is especially true for a family. I have found that there are a few people in this world that don't know the meaning of family. They'll never know true family love and support.
I'm so thankful that our Mom gave us so much love. We didn't have much money but she made sure we were fed, clean, warm, taught right from wrong, to respect others and their property, respect our elders, (and all the other things that your Mom is supposed to instill in you), and we always had lot's of love from her. She had a beautiful heart. The best Mom in the world!!!
So other things about me.........
I love listening to many different types of music, working in my flower beds, doing crafts....especially making jewelry, walking, camping (the ocean is my favorite), getting abalone, reading, and being with my three (so far) grandbabies and my children.
Having God in my life is extremely important to me.".
