Sylvia's Story

Hi my name is Sylvia and ended up graduating from SW Hi. the reason I say that is because I went to Edgewood Hi all my Hi school yrs starting with Jr hi at Escobar. Then my parrents bought a place way out in the country near Lytle but still in Bexar Co. I didn't want to meet new school mates. I was sorta the shy type but my shyness started to leave me cuz the kids were very very nice and I started to feel very at home with my new school invironment. At that school I was never called by my first name. It was always Pando my last name. I can't even remember how or why they started to call me by my last name. And if anyone asked for Sylvia they'ed say, "WHO?" LOL. One thing I can say and will say is that moving to SW was the best move ever. I have some great memorries of that school. I had much more fun and went out alot with my new friends. We were always doing something and going places. Country life can be alot of fun u know. I've always love the country anyways and it was e-z gettn use ot it.
Lets move on now. I married 3 times and my last husband just passaway in June (08) and have 5 kids in all. My oldest is almost 33 now and my youngest is 14. I have 2 grandkids, 3 dogs, 1 cat and 3 fish. I love birds and my fav is the rooster and I have a great collection of roosters. I lived in San Antonio all my born life except when my husband was in the Army and we lived in Tacoma Wa for nearly 4 yrs. My first 2 kids were born there at Madigan Hosp. in Fort Lewis in Tacoma. During our time there we traveled all over Washington to site see and even went to Canada. It's a beautiful country, Canada. My other 3 kids were born in San Antonio. I have traveled over half of all 50 states of the US and am still going like the everyready bunny lol. I am now recently living in Georgia. I just moved here about 2 yrs ago. I go to Florida to visit one of one of my daughter (2nd to oldest) that lives in West Palm Beach. When I get a chance I pack my bags and my 2 kids that I still have left and take off, I'm not afriad of the road. I have no one to tie me down anymore and I love it! All my kids have traveled with me and they've seen alot of the US with me. My ch...Expand for more
ildren are well orientated with traveling. Now that I'm a widow I plan to stay just as my husband left me and marrage is out of the big Q LOL!. I've had it and that's it for me.
Other hobbies I have is collecting movies, new and old and for some crazy reason I see cutting boards and I buy them old or new it dosn't matter. I've been collecting them without even really wanting to start a cutting board collection. I love cutting boards and maybe it's cuz I LOVE to cook. I also enjoy camping going to the beach, lets just say, I"m the outdoor type. Now that I'm in my fifties I don't have that younghood energy anymore, I tell ya, and I may be going clankyty clank clank but that dose NOT stop me from going LOL. I clank my way to wherever and whenever.
Hopefully I'll hear from some of u that may remember me from either Hi school (SW or Edgewood). Although I'm older now my heart dosn't feel old at all. My youth is still very vivid in my mind and heart. I truely had a great life as a teenager and had alot of fun especialy in my last year of hi school at SW. I think that's why I don't feel old even though my bones go snap crackal pop LOL! I also spend a little time surfing the web and chat with a few people here and there. BUT, I am very very cautious as to whom I chat with. So now, there u have it. I tried to make this as short as I could but I'm a great chatter and and tend to talk alot even when I put it in writting LOL. There's just so much but if I write it all down I'll never finish and u might just be saying, "when is this lady going to stop." So let me say I better go now, hope to hear from someone out there if not, I'll be looking in on classmate new commers in our erra.

As for Sanderson Elementry, I just attended that school for 1 year and that was when I was in 1st grade and I remember very frew people from there. But for those of u that knew Enrique (Ricky) Rodriguez and Jimmy and Oscar Rodriguez, well, they r my cousins. Maybe this way u know who I am more or less IF u can remember me or I u. My 1st grade attendance for this school was from 57-58. And for those of u that went to or graduated in the mid late 50s I am niece to Alonzo (Chito) Rodrguez.
