Sylvia's Story
Hello:
I just wanted to say, for me, English class in high school was so boring. I wish, looking back, that I had a teacher that made it more exciting for me to want to learn. I did pass the classes needed to graduate.
Later, after having my first child, I decided I was going to become a court reporter. I was tired of fast food jobs, dealing with rude people and jobs with minimum wage pay. Now I had to know so much beyond high school English. I was facing a very rigorous test to pass, the California State-Certified Shorthand Reporter, CSR, at 97.5 accuracy. Advanced English is so necessary in this field of work.
So take my advice, do whatever it takes to pay full attention in English class in high school. It will save you time.
