Sylvia's Story

Hi Everyone, My life hasn't been too exciting, but I'm happy! I was married shortly after graduation to Mick Shaw and have been happily married now for these last 36 years! Our oldest daughter just turned 33 and is married with a daughter of her own. They are going to be missionaries to Alaska and are working to get on the field. Our youngest daughter is married and has two boys! Her husband has been called to be a Pastor but feels he is not quite ready and is working under a Pastor right now. I never went on to college (It just wasn't for me) so I have had some dull jobs. I worked as a vending attendant at Bethlehem Steel and then at ...Expand for more
the GE plant on Fillmore Ave. Later I worked at the FOTOMAT stores in the area. After my husband and I were saved (born again) in '79 I quit and stayed home with my girls. I found out how much I love children when I began a church bus ministry in my church in 1988. Then when our church opened a Christian school in '92 I taught kindergarten for four years. I began working at the Ethan Allen furniture store as the cleaner when our youngest daughter went away to college. That was eight years ago and I'm still there. I love my life and especially LOVE being a Gramma!! It would be great to read more of everyone else's stories! Come on guys!
