Sylvia's Story
Life
I was born in Atlanta Georgia where I lived until I was eleven. We then moved to Cleveland Ohio until I was fourteen. My parents divorced and I was sent to live with a sister in Moriah New York. My sister already had five children when I arrived and had two more over the next three years. I had a lot of responsbilities so I joined everything I could in school. My best memories are the ones spent in New York. Since those old school days I've raised six children, had a great career, and now spend time spoiling my 17 grandchildren. After 30 years in Southern California, I have recently retired to Hoquiam Washington.
School
I was always shy is school because I always moved a lot. I went to schools in Georgia, Ohio, and New York...never more then two years...Expand for more
in anyone school. My fondest memories are the ones spent at Moriah Central School in New York. I loved FHA, Drama, Mixed Choris, Glee Cub, Public Speaking and anything else I could join. I was the last reigning 'Miss Moriah' in 1967. What a wonderful place to live and go to school!
College
I have five years of College under my belt. All of it was done after having my family. I started in Business, then discovered the world of Computers. I graduated with one of my daughters. Going to School with two of my daughters was an absolute blast!
Workplace
Had a wonderful Job With The County Of San Bernardino working in the Information Services Department as a Supervisor running all county Computer Operations. It was a wonderful experience I will always cherish.
