Sylvia's Story
Life
Well, lets see. I have 3 cats. I have 2 corn snakes. I live in a cozy apartment in the "downtown" of Crystal Lake. I have awesome teenagers. A son who is 16, a daughter who is 13 and another daughter who is 12. And yes, the two youngest are only 10 1/2 months apart. Wahoo!!!! I have become a avid "harley" passenger. Seriously considering taking lessons, but gotta tell ya, really enjoy being a passenger. The other exciting news is having my son driving soon. That is awesome!!!
School
I went to UW-Whitewater for freshman year. Then I went to OCC for 2 years to get my associates degree in General Business. Gotta admit, not a big school buff, but I guess I never was....just really wanted to be out in the real world.
Workplace
I have had soooo many jobs. I never really wanted the career thing. I did have one dream job I wanted, but never did it. I wanted to be a flight attendant. Got the chance last year, but when I discovered what they were paid to start, I...Expand for more
said forget it. Dream dead. I guess I primarily do the accounting/office managaging thing. I do it fairly well and am fairly anal about paperwork, so I guess it is a cool thing. Some of my favorit and interesting jobs I had: Assistant Office Manager for a Chevy Dealership- the year that Callaway engines came out for the vette. Totally cool!!!! I was a Deputy Secretary for the McHenry County Coroners office. Yea!!!! Totally cool!!!!! I was a assistant case worker for the McHenry County Housing Authority during the Hurricane Katrina era, and yes, that affected several counties in Illinois. That is just to name a few.
Military
Never joined the military, but did do my part, dating a few men in the service if that counts? I also have a son that is dying to go into the military. Granted, not my first choice for him, but he has been planning this since he was 7. He is now 16. He is a good guy, maybe he can bring some good to something that can be so ugly. Go Babe!!!!
