Life
My Spouse
I met my spouse Brian at church at the young adult fellowships. We are members of the Salvation Army. I really like attending the Salvatino Army because it is such a diverse congregation. I have met people from all over the world. AS we travel around on vacation, we often visit other Salvation Army churches. The neat thing is, we meet people that we have come in contact with at our home church almost everywhere we go. It is one big family.
My Kids
Daniel is 11 (1994) and Alison is 9 (1997). They are the most wonderful accomplishment that I have made.
My Job
I recently became the Professional Development Coordinator for Provience Hospitals after finishing my Masters Degree in the Science of Nursing. After 15 years of...Expand for more
providing direct patient care, the stress of the job was getting to me. Now, I track new graduates as they enter the workforce at my hospital and provide educational classes for them in areas that they need to develop their skills. I also teach the professional development courses for staff members that are mentors, preceptors and charge nurses. Finally, I place all clinical college students in the hospitals for clinical rotations, so I have to get all of their paperwork filled out and orient them to the hospital. I like this job because I am very social and enjoy meeting so many different people. I also get to work at both of the Providence Hospitals, so I am never bored!! What's next? I am not sure. Maybe I should get my Doctorate? Who knows?
