daily prayer I wrote many years ago, inspired by the Holy Spirit:
When I wake in the morning, the first thing I say
Is "good morning dear Jesus and thanks for today".
I continue to listen, inclining my ear,
With You by my side I've nothing to fear.
The trials may come but they'll soon go,
I know You're my refuge, Your Word says so.
You take my hand when I start to fall,
And lift me up gently whenever I call.
You'll never forsake me, You're always there,
You're forever in my heart, and me in Your care.
Beside my bed at night I pray,
"Thank You dear Jesus for Your blessings today!
