Tamara's Story
Hi,
My family and I moved to Alaska about 16 years ago when my husband was in the military. My husband, Steve, served his commission in the Air Force and hired on as a pilot with UPS. We haven't moved since because the neighborhood, and schools have been good to raise our three girls. The oldest, Kiersten, was married last year and now resides in Rexburg, ID with her husband, a cat and a dog. She is going to school. is now in Africa for a month volunteering at an orphanage. The youngest, Andrea, is a freshmen in high school. She is our drama queen.
In the meantime, I raised the girls, received my doctorate of pharmacy while working full time. I now work as the clinical pharmacist for the Alaska State owned assisted living facility, The Pioneer Homes. There are 6 homes in the great Alaska which gives me to the opportunity to travel to beautiful places like Sitka, Alaska.
We will probably be here in Alaska until retirement.
