Tamara's Story
after graduation, I went on to attend college at Central State University, where I majored in political science, and pre-med. I left in 1981 to attend License Practical nurse schooling; I graduated in 1983, I then worked as an LPN for 13 years; while working I attended Sinclar Community college working on an associate degree nurse; I graduated in December 1995. I worked as an RN at MVH in the areas of nursing as a neuro nurse, emergency room nurse, critical care nurse, now as an RN case manager. Wright state University. I will soon start in 2010 where I am going back to school to become a Certified Nurse Anesthesis. I have one son Dane Leroy Shipp. I never married, my obligations where with my family when my mother died in 2001. I cared for my grandmother up until 2005 when she died. My son, I raised with the help of my family. He is now attending Culinary Arts here in Dayton. I am very intersted in politics again now that we have an Historic President. I am thinking of moving to DC where I feel I would like to get involved with healthcare reform and have a voice for nursing.
