Hi,
I'm living\and not dying down here in L.A. doing Qui Tam law (representing whistleblowers) with my boss. Last August we recovered over $15 million for the U.S. Treasury from a local defense contractor (Northrop) and in the same case we were instrumental in recovering $80 million all told in the setttlement of two cases against Northrop. The DOJ (Dept. of Justice) settled two cases - (one without a whistleblower) and allocated $60 million to that case and only $20 million to our superior case which was valued more - because we had the whistleblower and awards are percentages. Our percentage of all this money was enough to keep us going for a while but there's not let up in this business for us at least yet. I'm dedicated to the job though and ultimately I'm doing good I guess. Other interests are yoga and the environment. I'm looking forward to a rich and long ret...Expand for more
irement some day, as I work so damn hard, but I try to enjoy life as much as possible. Especially the yoga and any contact I have with animals (I like their beauty). I had Miniature Schnauzers for years but the last one died recently at 16. I might not get another doggie right away as I am freer to travel for a while, but next I want a Bedlington Terrier (a Welsh dog). I really like terriers. I suppose my life is more or less like everyone else's except mine seems to be determined by a lot of hard work. Hate to concentrate on it to potential nonbelievers but I am a Capricorn with Taurus rising and that seems to define me except I am quite Spiritual. My Yoga practice is my favorite and I'd like to to be reincarnated as some kind of athlete next time around but maybe I can teach yoga later this time. One can always hope.
