Tami's Story

Life Hi everyone! It's been great looking at other people's bios to see what they've been up to. After high school I went to the University of Alberta and received my B.A. (Honours Psychology), M.A. (Sociology), and PhD (Sociology). I taught at the U of A for several years and now am a faculty member at Grant MacEwan College. I've been married to Dan Jolivette since 1991, and we have three "furry children"--that is, two giant cats (Squeak is 14 pounds and Scooch is 18 pounds) and one sweet, but rotten, dog (Truffle). Dan and I like to travel; our favourite places so far are San Francisco (where ...Expand for more
we go a couple of times a year) and Victoria. And one of my favourite things to do is enjoy a good bourbon or single malt scotch on the rocks, so if you've got any suggestions, let me know! I love working at Grant MacEwan; some days I can't believe they pay me to do what I do. When I'm not "professing", taking care of my "furry kids", or travelling, I like to play adventure-type computer games (e.g. Sherlock Holmes; Dark Fall; Syberia), read novels, do yoga, and my newest thing--"Dance Dance Revolution" on Xbox (I'm still on the beginner level). Overall, I'd have to say that life is just great!
