Tami's Story

Life has been a series of ups and downs as I am sure so many of you can relate with that. I obtained my health insurance license about a year ago, but I really have not done much with it. I guess it was more just to say that I obtained the license. I work at the Billings Clinic Hospital in the Admitting Department as a float. I work in all areas of department, so it is always interesting. I was working graveyards for about six months but I have been on days for a couple months. I really prefer the night shifts, for lots of reasons, but my position requires me to work all the shifts which adds challenge and variety to my life. In general I love to stay busy while continuing to learn in all aspects of my life. My oldest, Sydney, is 18. Yes, against my wishes she finally managed to step on the edge of adulthood, now is the task of getting her through her senior year and off to her next adventure. I am hopeful that she will make good choices. My youngest, Sadie, she is bored with school (oh I remember those days) so we are trying to get her graduated early and off to college...of course the guidelines by our school district only allow a student to graduate a semester early. In my spare time I enjoy being a passenger on the Harley. We belong to a riding club that is great fun; everyone in the club loves to enjoy life. One day when I learn how to curb my need for speed I will have my own Harley, but until then I am content to know that I can enjoy outings without the perils that...Expand for more
come with my love for speed. Okay, now I have the pink piglet (150cc scooter), it only can go so fast on those little 10 inch tires. So I still get that wind in my hair feeling, with a top speed that is much easier to manage with my hunger for speed. Last summer we sold the Jet Ski's as my daring behavior seemed to continually get me in trouble. I guess part of me has never grown up...speed, thrills and pushing the bar. (Water toys are too much fun!) We still spend lots of time at the lake just on the party barge, or basking on the large water trampoline with our family and friends. I need to restart my Yoga and Pilates practice. I really do miss being an instructor; it is so wonderful to see people grow in their fitness and health goals. I just always seem to be doing something other than realizing my potential the past few months. I have been enjoying reconnecting with classmates of the past...those from home in Dillon, MT to those in Nebraska where I learned so much, to those that I finished H.S with in Casper, WY and everyone in between. If I could I would move back home to Dillon or Divide and grow old in the wonderment of the Mountains and lots less traffic...When I am able to spend time in Dillon and Divide I feel at peace with life, which reminds me that sometimes I need to slow down and enjoy what I have. Each time I visit and have to leave it becomes harder...one day I will be back home in the comfort of the mountain ranges where my family and lots of memories rest.
