Tami's Story
Life
Well, we still live in Michigan, been here 6 years now!! Can't believe it! The winters can be kind of sucky, but man the fall colors are something to behold!! Dharma will be graduating from 6th grade in a few weeks and has been on the honor roll all through elementary school. Sterling just turned 20, Rachel turned 25 November and Bradley will be 29 next month (no I didn't start early, the three oldest are mine by choice and by marriage) Our grandson Taylor turned 6 in October. And John and I just keep getting older and older....I'm still working at the same property management company that I went to work for a few weeks after we got here. John's still turning wrenches although those days are quickly coming to a close. All in all, we have a good life, a great family and a happy home, who could ask for anything more from life. My oldest friend is Elisha Owens, we met in vacation bible school when I was in the first grade and reconnected in high school. It was like we never missed a beat and we've been there for each other and with each other through thick and thin! She's like my sister more than my friend.
I think back on my senior year at GPHS and can't help but think about Mr.Pettit. He was a very inspiring teacher. He taught me to really open my mind and appreciate literature and poetry. I still write a few things every now and then. My daughter is pretty good at Haikus too! Mr Pettit would be proud that I've been able to instill in her the same things that he brought to me!! He was definitely my favorite teacher.
