Tammi's Story
Hello Everyone!!
I am doing great!! Happily married now for 15 years!! WOW!!!! I have been with Roland (my husband) since I was 18, over 1/2 my life now. It's hard to believe sometimes. We have 2 great (well most of the time) kids. Danielle my beautiful daughter is 15, and my gorgeous son Zachary is 10. Danielle is a smart girl, does good in school, and does competitive cheerleading. She doesn't cheer for the school, she says, "Who wants to stand there for 2 hours saying the same cheers over & over again, and going rah, rah rah?" But she loves the competitive cheerleading. She joined a new gym last year, it was the gyms first year and our squad went to Orlando in March for a competition with squads all over the WORLD, and our squad took third place - the girls were thrilled!!! Last summer (07) she interviewed and was accepted as a Student to Student Ambassador, and spent the summer traveling Europe with 39 other kids. She loved it, the Eiffel Tower, and Ann Franks home was her favorites. I was so dissappointed, someone stole her camera towards the end of her trip, so NO pics!!!! Anyway, she is a very smart, and self sufficient girl. She wants to be a Dr., she just doesn't know which kind yet. I think she is beautiful, alot of people say she looks just like me, but I see an equal part of myself and my husband in her. My husbands family is from Peru, South America, so needless to say, she has that year around tan that most of us would kill for!! e wrestling team, he likes that. He is actually going for a week over the summer to a wrestling camp to learn even more. He also plays football, he is really good at football. Zac wants to be a Dr. too. His grandfather is a nurosurgeon, and Zac has said since he was 3 that is want he wants to do too. Now at 10, he still says that - only time will tell. He is a mix between Roland & I too. He is fairer complected than Danielle though. Over the summer I lay out by the pool, everyday if I can, but next to the 3 of them, I look like a ghost!!! We built my dream home in 2006. I am a stay at home mom, so I was actually the general contractor on the job. It was a lot of work, but soooo worth it! We travel quite a bit, of course it's never enough though! We take the kids on vacation every year during their spring break. Last year we went to Peru to visit Roland's grandmother, and took a flight to Cuzco, and spent a couple of days there. It was awesome!! We went to Macchu Picchu, which literally took your breath away. It was beautiful, even Danielle said, "Mom, it's so beautiful you can't describe it". I guess because I didn't see anywhere but Ill. or Mo. growing up, I like to try to get the kids out there, to experience new things. I really enjoy visiting ruins, and learning about other cultures. Let's see, what else. We have our dog - Dawson. He's my baby. He is a Yorkie, just the cutest thing, and sooo spoiled. I will see if I can figure out how to post some pics, I am not that computer savvy, I will probably have to have Danielle do it for me. Anyway, I hope to hear from some of my old friends. Take Care!!
