Tammy's Story
After graduating, I moved out of my parent's house and lived in an unincorporated section of Hawthorne. I lived there until 2000, when I moved to Brooklyn, NY, to be with my husband, Patrick Walsh.
I was able to stay with the same company, Hafele America, and work in their NYC showroom until April 2008, first as Customer Service Manager and then as Office/HR Manager.
In April 2008, due to economic pressures, Hafele consolidated it's operations and I was one of the lucky ones who - instead of losing my job - was offered a position at the corporate headquarters. So,...Expand for more
with just a month's notice we packed up and have been living in High Point, NC, since May 2. It's been a big change, but in the long run I believe it's a change for the better. It's much less stressful and hectic here, with a lot more trees and open spaces.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy genealogy, sewing, and amature photography.
We don't have any children, but instead lavish attention on our cocker spaniel mix, Wilbur. He's 15 now, and while he is getting to be the typical "grumpy old man" he'll always be our fuzzy kid!
