Tammy's Story
Life
My husband, Mike and I have four children. Tim (26) Travis (23) and Megan (15), and Mark (11). We live in north Stockton. I am currently a Domestic Engineer - i manage my home, family and everything that goes with it. I used to work for O'Connor Woods in resident services and was previously at Nugget/Premier Foodservice for 12 years. My husband has worked for PG&E for 23 years. I enjoy my family and working in the garden. I have run into a few people from high school. It is amazing to see how we all have changed. Life is so much more important now than it was in high school.
Workplace
After I graduated from high school, I moved to Arizona where I worked in the insurance industry for two years before returning to California. I was sent for training to Montreal, which was fun for an 18 year old. After returning to California, I worked in insurance for 5 years and then worked for a local home builder for 2 years. e resiliant slow down of home building. I was fortunate enough to work for a national foodservice distributor for 12 years. I worked in their marketing department and went to many different states for their national food shows. It was a great job and I have many friends from this long relationship with Premier Foodservice. The company merged with a larger Atlanta corporation in 2001 and we were all let go - sign of the times in 2001. in 2001, I began working part time for St. Joseph's Hospital before being hired full time in 2003. When my mother in law passed away in 2005, I left St. Joseph to help my father in love deal with the house and personal items that were left by my MIL. I began working part-time for O'Connor Woods in 2006. I loved that job and the people who lives there. My father in law passed away in 2011. He always told me I should stop working and take care of my family. So in January 2012 I did just that. I now am a Domestic Engineer at MetroMania.
