Tammy's Story

After high school I got married to my husband Edward and we had a son Kenneth who is 31. I have one grandaughter named Katie she is 7 years old. She is my whole world at the moment. I lived in Portland, Oregon for several years as that is where my husband was from. We then moved to Oklahoma and I still live there today. We did live in New Hampshire a couple of years as my husbands job took him there. I homeschooled my son while there as I we were not fond of the school system. he office setting. A few years as a nurse aid, but moved to something I enjoyed more. Currently I work at a local hospital. Last year my husband starting having health problems and was diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called Neuroacanthocytosis. We lost him on March 15 of this year. He was not only my spouse but also my best friend as we did everything together as a team. So in closing my story let me say that you should tell those you are close to that you love them as often as you can because we have no guarantees for tomorrow.
