Tammy's Story

Life, As of 2/09 My career has taken me in many avenues. I work in nursing and specialize with pediatric oncology. I cant believe it has been going on 23 years in Nursing. I attended Madonna University , receiving my Bachelor's degree and moved to work at St. Judes Children Research hospital in Memphis for four years and returned to michigan in 1995 to take care of my mom who was ill. I got my Master's degree in Religious education and Pastoral sudies as I am very involved in youth ministry and religious education. My parents are both deceased now and between working at the local regional medical center in pediatrics and at my local parish that is what keeps me busy. I enjoy what I do and wouldn't change a thing about my career choices or choices to what state I reside in. I have come across many people who have given me a wonderful meaning to my life. I feel that God only gives us all what we can handle and he is directing me where to go and what to do next. or the last three years and have enjoyed that new realm of nursing. I also have changed some of my job from working at the hospital to working at a clinic for the last three years which has been a challenge. My world experiences have been going to the World youth days for Youth of the world and the after going to four of them I think my biggest have really been when I went to Toronto and got within 3 feet of the pope johnpaul the 2nd and then this past summer going to Australia and getting within 50 feet or less of pope bendict, these have been the experiences that helps me keep my Catholic fatih and how faithful others really are in other parts of the world. Going to Germany in 2005 was an expeience to see culture but at thattime it was okay to get within 1500 feet of pope bendict because it paid off this time in Australia. I also have been involved with Special Days Childrens Cancer Camps for 23 years please if you see anything posted help support, also your ACS Relay for life campaigns in your area because that is a fight where I put my energy.
