Tammy's Story

Life After graduating, went to WOSC for 3 semesters then joined the Air Force. I was in the AF for just over eight years, and lived in four different places, Guam being my favorite. After separating from the military in '93, I went on to work for a government contractor and worked in twelve different states in two years before getting laid off. After getting laid off, we moved to Las Vegas, NV and have been here almost twelve and a half years now. I have been married twice which isn't something that I am happy about, but luckily I have never had any children. I have two wonderful miniature schnauzers which are my "four-legged" babies. This is the longest I have lived anywhere since leaving Altus in 1985!! Hope to see everyone at the twenty-fifth and renew old friendships, and to make new ones... ize that I really missed out on alot of experiences with my friends or people that I wish that I had been friends with. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have been in such a hurry to "grow up", and enjoyed my senior year alot more. Workplace Never thought that I would work at a Wal-Mart, but since starting as a cashier I have slowly started climbing up the management ladder and enjoy it immensely. Just wish they would pay me more!! Military It was a wonderful way for a girl who wasn't quite ready for marriage and didn't know what I wanted to do as far as college to get out of a small town and be on my own. Have been very surprised at how small this world is and have ran into many of my friends and co-workers from the military in the civilian world. Best decision I could have ever made, but should have stuck it out for my retirement!
