Tammy's Story
Life
I am currently divorced. We had been together since 1984, but didn't get married until 1992. All my children are his children. We got divorced in 2001. I graduated from College for Lifelong Learning in 2002 with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. I am know about to graduate from MacIntosh College with an Associates in Visual Communications. I am currently a stay at home Mom with my two boys. My youngest has Cerebral Palsy and looking at the world through his eyes is an adventure. nvolved with band. They keep me very busy. My youngest is also a member of the Durham Chapter of W.O.W(Winners on Wheels). He is learning that nothing can stop him just because he's in a wheelchair. I am of course very involved with fundraisers, and trying to gain corporate sponsers for this group. It is a non-profit and we try to raise funds to take the kids on field trips. This past year we raised enough for them to go on a weekend trip to Vermont. My oldest and I just got back from a band trip to NY. The band was in a competition and they won first place with a superior rating. We had a blast.
