Tammy's Story
Life
Children: I have one daughter -She is 12 years old. Her name is Kayla.
Marital Status: I am now happily divorced for 7 years and still live here in Maryland.
Work: My mother & I run a Drug Testing Company together. PR is always appreciated! hint hint..LOL :-)
Best Travel Experience: I took my daughter to Ciaro Egypt for 3 weeks last year- (2003) That was an expierence. Plane ride LONG..culture abundant & very interesting. She loved it. So did I. We went everwhere while we were there(Pyramids,Ciaro towers,Ciaro musem,Syphnx(sp?),street markets, we ate in a restuarant that was made of glass and very high up- you could look out the window and see the pyramids & yes- we rode camels & horses while at the pyramids & we took a night time ride on a private boat down the Nile. Truly amazing.
Surprises while there: They have McDonalds and Hardees & Metro Supermarket!
"Oh yeah..I was pulled into their police station by six armed guards...LOL...I was taking pictures while exiting the pyramids, the police headquarters is located directly out side of those exit gates...and apparently I took pictures of some high end officals with out realizing it and they made us stop the car and escorted us inside the station and had me erase them from my digital..They had never seen a digital camera before and were intrigued..we all laughed it off and they were very nice about it! Kayla was freaking out until she realized everything was cool & the guards began joking with her and telling how beautiful she was! LOL"
They also have an amusement park (I was so surprised!) called Magic Land - "you know if you have a child" ..we definitely went there... LOL
Kayla and I even learned to speak & write quite a bit of arabic in that short time. Kayla made a very good friend, a beautiful little girl her age - named Besma, she spoke very little english but stayed with us the entire time we were there. Kayla & She seem to communicate very well with each other. It was such an expierence for us.
Egypt is not a rich country, to see the people struggling so much was very disheartening, but there was still beauty to be seen and the people were...Expand for more

My biggest crush in high school (Patterson) was Chris Waitt...LOL All the other girls liked Buddy Edmond or Some of the other guys, but I thought Chris was the best. He was a really nice guy! I remember thinking to myself.."He's so Hot!" It's funny when you get older and think back to all this stuff...high school was fun! To know then what we know now!!!

Workplace
Currently my mother & I opened a Drug Testing business here in MD about 4 years ago and are running that together. We handle companies Drug testing programs and we also have a walk-in office for our individual clients. Two years ago we worked on the Homeland Security project at the airports and currently we handle Yellow Transportation, MTA and a few slightly smaller companies. Everything is going great!
:-)
Before teaming up with the MOM, I started a process serving company called TW Process and still do that on the side. Yes! I go and serve people their divorce papers and court papers, etc! However, Drug testing is much safier! LOL
Running your own business is ALOT of work but it definitely has it's advantages! ;-)
Before all of this I did the normal thing...Lab Tech, Admin, Computers and other jobs..I even managed a Royal Farms a long long long time ago....LOL
Just keep in mind ... little do we know..that every single job we have does in some way prepare us for whatever it is that we finally reach. This could not be more true!
Military
Well I never joined or served in the service but I am an ex military wife! LOL :-)
